World Food Programme International Women’s Day Hangout
Sustenance Group founder Kristi York Wooten joined the World Food Programme, ONE, the ONE Moms and several other prominent female bloggers for a Google Hangout phone conference with WFP’s Niger Country Director, Denise Brown. The one-hour virtual event took place on March 8, 2012 in honor of IWD. Brown imparted information to the group about the daily struggles women face in Niger and what efforts are being made to alleviate poverty there.
