Maintaining Hope: CARE’s first annual NATIONAL DAY OF ACTION

Volunteers for CARE, ONE, RESULTS, and Heifer International gathered along with representatives from the Carter Center, Emory University and CNN, to celebrate the UN’s International Day for the Eradication of Poverty and CARE’s First Annual NATIONAL DAY OF ACTION. The event featured CARE’s Derreck Kayongo, author Melissa Fay Greene, CNN’s Fredricka Whitfield, Matt from 99X, and many international consuls. Live music was provided by the fun Lost Boys of Sudan Duo. It was a great evening for awareness and Sustenance Group members played a key role in planning and implementing the event.
