The Elders Meet to Discuss Women in Peacebuilding Roles

Sustenance Group partcipated in the Women and Peacebuilding event at The Carter Center on November 5, 2014, which took place immediately following the annual meeting of The Elders.

Chaired by Kofi Annan, The Elders is an independent group of global leaders who work together for peace and human rights. They were brought together in 2007 by Nelson Mandela. The concept originated in a conversation between Richard Branson and Peter Gabriel about how a small, dedicated group of individuals might use their collective experience and influence to help tackle some of the most pressing problems facing the world today.
