No Doubt Rocks the Global Citizen Festival


The Global Poverty Project's third annual Global Citizen Festival filled NYC's Central Park with activists, world leaders and music fans on September 27. 50,000 concertgoers watched World Bank President Jim Yong Kim, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and heads of state like – Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India and Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, Prime Minister of Liberia – make commitments to end global poverty by 2030. The concert's impact could affect up to 259 million people by 2020. Read more about the impact here. The evening included performances by Jay Z, No Doubt, Carrie Underwood, Fun. The Roots and Tiësto, joined by guests Sting, Alicia Keys, and Beyoncé. The best was No Doubt, with Gwen Stefani at her bouncy best. Here's a clip of the band's performance below.
